Hi! I will be going to Beijing this June and need some help to know for sure how much money I will need there per month. I am going there with my 3-year-old kid and I will need a babysitter for him for 3-5 hours a day, and then plus a good full time kindergarten. I will be staying in a hotel for a month (they charge me 160 RMB per night but advices on something better are most welcome). And of course I wanted to know how much does a meal in a restaurant cost (I mean average).

And what’s your meals? will you have it outside? 160 rmb every night it suitable for a new comer like you, you will be in good cared of. Ask the hotel to rent a baby sitter for you, about 20 RMB every hour. But make sure to find a really responsible ones, you can try to rent a student in colleage, who majored in English, i think they would like to do this kinds of things. Your meals outside will cost more if you want to eat at some place clean and quiet. You will spend over RMB 10,000 if you want to have a good stay at Beijing
calculate about 300 yuan per day…
no idea about babysitters and kindergartens but the meal would cost about 100 per day (3 x 30)…
and some other expenses like transportation, home necessities etc…
